Overview

In 2017 we worked with Virgin Mobile Canada through a digital agency partner to support two seasonal campaigns around Valentine's Day and April Fools Day. These campaigns involved extensive digital composite and editing work to create various images aligned with the Virgin Mobile brand.

For Valentine's day, Virgin hopped onto the Buzzfeed-style quiz bandwagon allowing visitors to generate personalized Valentine's Day greeting cards for sharing on social channels.

April Fools involved a countdown to an on-trend product launch at the height of the hipster phenomenon, ultimately revealing the "FaceCase": a phone case that included all of the essentials for top-notch beard grooming.

These were fun projects to work on, of course, but also brought their unique challenges. Working with commissioned photographers, 3d artists combined with an intense Photoshop editing routine made both of these campaigns satisfying to see launch publicly. Our scope of work for these engagements included:

  • Wireframing and low-fidelity prototyping to depict user flows and interactions for quiz completion, e-card generation, and sharing
  • Responsive, mobile-first UI design
  • Extensive photo editing and manipulation
  • Creating display advertisements to support campaign promotions
  • Collaborating with other agency partners, photographers, copywriters and client teams under tight timeframes
